Lazy Sunday...

Ok, I really miss the car now! Have been lazing around at home, and playing countless hours of Diner Dash on my DS Lite! Don't feel like going out because the air is just too polluted with all the burning of joss sticks, papers, etc.! Thank goodness it's the end of the 7th Month yesterday!

Can't take pics too cos the camera is in China with J! :(

I wanted to post up the pic of my new PINK coach wristlet! Simply love it! Pink is just my favourite colour of all time. Thanks to C for getting it for me in San Francisco!

I'm so "nua" that I'm not even watching "Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow" on TV! Hey, it's Jude Law....my fave actor of all times.

I think I should go down and buy a tub of vanilla ice-cream. I've bought some passion fruit and it's soooo sour! Need the ice-cream to get ease the sourness!

Perth - Day 6

Bright and sunny day! Yeah! We had breakfast at the quaint dining room and planned our itinerary for the day. Obviously, the first stop is to Vasse Felix! The vineyard is really nice, but the gals in the Cellar Door were not too friendly with us. :( But their wines are just excellent! Wish I could have bought more back!

Breakfast taste better on nice tableware!

After that, we drove down to Hamelin Bay to see the sting rays! It was a loooooooong drive, because we took the "scenic drive", which is not that scenic actually. It took us almost 2 hours to reach Hamelin Bay! But it was worth it! The beach is just beautiful!

Hamelin Bay

This is where the sting rays come to feed...

We regretted not bringing along our swimming gear to Hamelin! But we still have to visit a few other places - so we left the bay after soaking in some of the sun, sand and sea....

We drove on to Augusta, towards the Leeuwin Lighthouse. It is situated where the 2 oceans meet - the Pacific and Indian Ocean. We were hungry after all the fresh sea breeze, and stopped at the 1st cafe that we see - Augusta Bakery. And look at what we feasted on!

Aussie Burger with the LOT!

Lasagne...yum!

After the satisfying lunch, we continued on to Cape Leeuwin where the lighthouse is. It was a breathtaking sight when we finally saw the lighthouse!

The Leeuwin Lighthouse

There is a guided tour to the top of the lighthouse, and we managed to catch the last tour at 3pm! The tour guide is a nice lady in her 50's! And she climbs up and down the lighthouse several times a day doing the tour! Her stamina is just amazing. When we reached the top, I was trying not to pant too hard...haha...cannot loose out to Aunty leh.

Can you see the two oceans crashing in the middle??

We wanted to do somemore wine tasting but it's already late afternoon. So we managed to squeeze in one more at the Leeuwin Estate. They are already closing for the day but allowed us to taste some wines.

Simmo's! Delicious ice-cream to end our day in Margaret River. Feel sad that we have to head back to Singapore the next day :(

Bye bye Perth...it has been a wonderful visit!

Perth - Day 5

Off we go to Margaret River. J is such a darling to drive all the way there and back! :) We started off to Margaret River after breakfast, wanting to reach there before it gets dark. It was a smooth drive, we didn't get lost as the road signs are quite clear.

When we reach MR, the first thing I saw was the directional signboard to Vasse Felix vineyard and it was just soooo exciting to know that my favourite sparkling wine (or champagne but that is technically a wrong name!) is being grown, made and bottled so near me! I want to try more of their wines!

Vasse Felix Cellar Door

We managed to reach our B&B - The Noble Grape Guest House in the late afternoon. Donna, the owner was so helpful and she recommended places to go to, and where to have dinner for the night. We had dinner at this fantastic little Italian restaurant called Pinnochio's. Didn't take pics of the food as it was too dim. But I remembered ordering the aglio olio spaghetti, and the calamari was delicious with garlic aioli.

We went to bed early that night as we were both exhausted after the long drive...

Bye bye...

Sold off the car today :( Feeling kinda sad, although the new car is arriving soon. Bye bye my chili padi...hope you will have a good owner in the future!
